The Citizen and the Constitution

We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution is a curriculum project of the Center for Civic Education that is run in Pennsylvania by the National Constitution Center with support from LEAP-Kids. There are free cases of wonderful text materials available at the 5th, 8th and high school grade levels. A mock congressional hearing model, with non-competitive hearings at the lower grades and a national competition at the high school level, is at the core of the curriculum.

Project Citizen

Project Citizen, a program of the Center for Civic Education, is run in Pennsylvania throught the National Constitution Center. LEAP-Kids is proud to coordinate the statewide Project Citizen competition.

We The People: Project Citizen is a curricular program for middle grade students that promotes competent and responsible participation in local and state government. The program helps young people learn how to monitor and influence public policy. In the process, they develop support for democratic values and principles, tolerance, and feelings of political efficacy.
